I/O priority level at which nightly backups are run (Minimum: 0 Maximum: 7) The only modifications you can make to the cPanel backup transport are: i hear backblaze has an integrations team, can you guys please work with whm about this, as this is going to cause me to go back to aws s3 in the meantime. I received a response back from WHM, who says they do not have an option to increase the number of threads. I’m getting beaten up in another thread by a customer who claims few people can get a 10 Mbit/sec nowadays, and that it is unrealistic to sell a product that requires such extreme bandwidth. It is refreshing that you say “ only 25 Mbps”. The main feature is if a person types a URL ending in “/“ it needs to “guess” an additional “index.html” - like if the URL is the web server needs to guess you meant (all modern web servers do this). I would like to move the site over to B2 but I need a couple of TINY features that are coming soon. Side note: the reason I use GoDaddy is it is a 15 year old hosted webpage, and GoDaddy was the cheapest option years ago when I set it up, and I never changed it. Since the target audience is Linux system administrators, it doesn’t really matter how clunky or ugly it is, or how hard to use it is. They didn’t hire any graphic artists, so the icons are amateurish and the layout is old fashioned / out of date. I mean, it is an interface designed by people with zero user interface design experience. GoDaddy recently started using this for new customers, and it switched one of my personal accounts over to this interface. ![]() So instead of SSH’ing into the Linux box and typing commands, you click on web page buttons to setup things like HTTPS certs, and it provides web pages that allow you to upload files to your web server (instead of using something like ftp to upload files to your web server) that are then served via HTTPS. “WHM” stands for “Web Hosting Manager”, and this is a (clunky) web interface that allows you to configure website hosting on Linux. They have added this to their task list to do, as referenced in the thread on their forums I made here: Update - it was confirmed by whm support that they do not do multi threaded uploads at this time. with s3 it never had a chance to trigger the alert, but with b2 it is.įor instance, my backup finished about 5am this morning, and it is almost 4pm and it is still transferring the backups to b2. ![]() As a file is transferred to the destination it is removed from my server. this is because the backups of each account stays on my server until they are transferred to b2. I do not know how to tell the exact speed, but since switching to b2, i receive notifications from whm that my disk usage is unusually high. I previously had been using S3 as the destination and it was extremely fast. I have just recently started using B2 as the destination, and it is taking a long time to upload my data. I have WHM/cpanel, 86.02 and i have backblaze b2 setup as a remote backup destination.
